Record-setting trove of buried beads speaks to power of ancient women

A haul of more than 270,000 beads has been recovered from a 4,800-year-old burial in southwestern Spain. The collection of beads ― the largest array of such ornaments ever found ― adorned the attire of the powerful women buried there¹.
